Bamboo and Pork Soup

Ingredients: 
  • 250 g pork chop, chopped into 3 - 5 cm pieces
  • 300 g sliced bamboo shoots
  • 5 cups water
  • I cup of chicken stock or 2 stock cubes
  • Salt to taste
Directions: 
  1. Blanch pork for 1 minute to remove fatty odour. Throw out water and clean pot.
  2. Add water and stock to the pot and bring to boil.
  3. Add the pork and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the bamboo and cook for 30 minutes.
  5. Add salt if necessary.
  6. Serve.
