People of this sign are honest, straightforward, faithful and possessing deep loyalty and responsibility. They have the deep passion for justice and fair play. They can be magnanimous and prosperous, yet also guarded and defensive, never really relaxed despite outer calm. They are also trustworthy and generous to people. As the symbol of justice, the Dogs are very serious about their self-imposed responsibilities. You can count on them and they'll never let you down.

The Dogs have a giving, compassionate personality. They offer kind words, support and advice to friends and family. They are good listener, always available to their friends in need. They are also very reliable in keeping secrets for others. They simply don't like to gossip. Dogs are incredibly attentive. At times, the dogs protect the interests of others more avidly than their own.

Generally amiable and unpretentious, they will know how to get along with others as they are not too demanding. The egalitarian dogs like to meet others halfway, are always willing to listen to reason and can be counted on to do their share.

Money and status don't matter to the Dogs. They care little for wealth but always seem to have money. They are more concerned with the welfare of their family and friends and will do whatever it takes to help them out of a tight squeeze or a rough spot. Once Dogs determine a subject of interest, they usually master that before taking off for a new adventure. They like to finish what they start. They are honest and trustworthy people, ethically strong and morally kept. They make loyal friends and companions.

The Dogs seldom direct their wrath at someone personally. They will take you to task over one specific act or offense without hating you entirely or forever. It will always be a justifiable kind of anger without malice, without rancor and without jealousy. Not all Dogs look for fights. It would be more just to say that the Dog person is an open-eyed and open-minded observer, with the objective of preserving social goals and guarding the interest of the public at large. Dogs can be a bit overwhelming, due in part to their attentive natures. They can march in and take control of a situation, even when it doesn't involve them directly.

They can be judgmental, defensive and picky if you rub them the wrong way, but as long as you know how to pet and massage them, the Dogs make absolutely the best and most honorable companion on earth. Yet, while they are tolerant of and acquiescent to their friends, they can be critical of and emotionally cold to people they dislike. Practical, tthe Dog person is ultra realistic and outspoken.

The Dogs, whether they admit it or not, will have an inborn need to divide people into fixed categories. To them, you are either a friend or foe; black or white. They have to know how to classify you before they can relax in your company. And if they do suspect you, well, they may not be rude enough to come right out and accuse you without the evidence, but you can be sure they will be watching you from the corner of their eyes. But when they accept you, they like to be your trustworthy friends forever.

Dogs are born old and get younger as they age. They take everything very serious. You may hear the Dogs complain a lot about street lamps, about traffic, or about weather, but as they get older, the less they take their own criticisms seriously.

With their astute intelligence and noble character, they make good but sometimes reluctant leader. People trust them and hold them in high esteem because of their sense of duty and discretion. The Dogs' leadership are unemotional, although altruistic. But they are also prone to bouts of erratic and cantankerous behavior. This may be because they are really an introvert at heart and hate all that pretense on the social scene.

Most people born under this sign are tough, in the sense that they can take a lot of stress without cracking up. The Dogs' stable mind make them good counselor, priest or psychologist. During times of crisis, they can suffer great hardships and deprivation without complaining. They earnestly wish that the world were a better place to live in, and they will not be afraid to go out and do something about it.

Even while the dogs put on bright and cheerful appearance, they are so pessimistic. They tend to worry unnecessarily and will expect trouble to be lurking in every corner. But there are times when their predictions come true. You can trust the Dogs to hand you the bad news with the good.

When they are right, the Dogs can be obstinate and uncompromising. It is hard to influence the unprejudiced Dogs once they make up their mind. The Dogs may be pugnacious and quarrelsome but they will take their fights out to the open and rarely stoop to underhanded methods in order to win.

The Dog people are never without resources, and even when they do not have direct power, they will wield influence on important or decision-making people through their sound advice and remarkable insight. People do lend the dogs their ears, as they champion moderation in all things.

They usually see through people's motives anyway, so fancy language just affects them the wrong way. They are natural lawyer and will listen to your case objectively. While it will never be easy for the Dogs to trust everyone profoundly, they do their best to bring out the good in their fellowmen. Once you have gained their allegiance, they will place complete faith in you and give you their undivided support. Try criticizing someone who is dear to the Dog, and you will be in for a very strong rebuttal.

But don't pry into the dogs affairs as they will become secretive and withdrawn. The Dogs were born with their defense shields up. You will have to gain their confidence gradually and wait for them to open up. They will work hard when they have to or want to; otherwise, they have a certain "lie by the fire" kind of laziness.

In the pursuit of love, Dogs may be their own worst enemy. They will not go out and fall madly in love, but they will be deeply attached and affectionate to those they love. They can become so anxious from engaging in the mating ritual that they create too much stress in their potential partners for their dance of love to be successful. But they will have romantic problems all their life - it's their own fault, really: they lead themselves by their emotional in stability and their eternal anxiety.

This Sign can be very temperamental; mood swings characterize its emotional life and often the Dog needs to run off to be alone in order to recuperate. Part of the problem is the result of this Sign's load of irrational fears that turn into niggling anxieties that turn into hurt feelings and occasional grouchiness.

The Dog's discerning nature does make it an excellent business person, one who can turn that picky, guarded nature into a keen sense of the truth of another's motives. This Sign is happiest when able to be quite physically active; at home or at work, the Dog will always be constructing something new or cleaning something up in order to make things better. Dogs need to work on controlling their irrational worries and would also be well-served to relax their mile-high standards, which can sometimes wind up alienating the ones they love.

A Dog who is born at night is reputed to be more aggressive and high-strung than one born during the day. Dogs of all seasons will be well provided for throughout their lives and have need of little.
